My daughter has gone to Open Arms since she was 3 months old. I have consistently been impressed with the professionalism and love for the kids that's shown by the teachers. The ratios of students to staff is low, so the teachers can really get to know my daughter and spend good time with her. She talks about her day all the time and her affection for her teachers and friends is obvious. If I have questions or concerns about anything, the teachers and director are always receptive and welcoming. I'm so glad I found this center-- knowing that my daughter is being well cared for makes life as a working mom so much easier!!

The teachers are great and they do a wonderful job! It's obvious how much they love and care for our children. I would highly recommend this center to anyone who is looking for excellent childcare.

I can't say enough about Open Arms. From my first visit to when I finally transitioned my 14 month old son. My previous daycare I felt was sufficient, however had some concerns about ratios and sleeping arrangements. Open Arms is very structured with each age group having their own defined room and teachers. The staff ratios are above state requirement which is great. The staff are so welcoming and they all seem to TRULY enjoy what they do, they are always helpful and seem to be very team oriented and involved with the children. Their is always open communication among all staff and you are always aware of what is happening with your child and if there are any concerns. I also have family that take their children to Open Arms and they feel the preschool is excellent and their child is learning a lot. I would highly recommend Open Arms to anyone considering them. It truly is a spectacular place and they hold high standards. Anyone taking their child there I'm sure would agree and won't be disapointed in the care their infant, toddler, or child would receive.

We toured many different centers in Iowa City and this is the only one we had zero reservations about. It's friendly, clean environment and very caring staff stood above all the rest. We were very impressed with the director, a kind man who clearly enjoys children, and all the teachers. The ratios are fantastic and the rooms are colorful and inviting. My son went there for two years and we cherished every minute. This is a great center.

My husband and I have been extremely impressed with the care that our son receives at Open Arms. It is obvious that all of the employees truly love working with children and it sets our minds at ease knowing that he will be well loved during his time there.

My children have gone to his facility since they were infants. I have always found the staff to be responsive to any concerns or issues with the children. The kids have always enjoyed going. The teachers create a positive environment for the kids and they have learned a lot. My daughter will start kindergarten this fall and she is well prepared. I would highly recommend this center. The staff and other families have made this a great place for my kids.

My son has attended Open Arms since 12 weeks and the staff is extremely caring and fun. They are positive, friendly and warm. My son has loved every one of his teachers. There is a good balance of full-timers with experience as parents and/or childcare and students. There is a great diversity among staff. The center is extremely accommodating for working parents (ie the stay open despite the school district closures, university holidays etc.) and are accommodating to parents' wishes for the care they wish their children to receive and in handling "issues". My son is happy going there and has learned far more than I ever imagined.
